Hales Group are a leading employment agency in the south east of England which has achieved exceptional growth over recent years. We are recruiting an On-Call Coordinator for our Health and Social Care Division, based at the Watford office.
Working as an On-Call Coordinator you will be responsible for working outside of normal office hours, dealing with incoming calls from domiciliary service users and establishment/residential clients, responding to queries raised from Service Users, Clients and Carers. You will be dealing with emergency or crisis situations, making informed decisions using your initiative and reporting any incidences to the Branch Manager which you deem necessary. You will be responsible for allocating shifts in the event of absences and you will be required to cover care calls that you are unable to fill. It will be your responsibility to collect hand-over notes from the office at agreed times/intervals. It is essential that you are able to remain calm and professional and have the ability to ensure that company standards and legislative requirements are upheld at all times. You will also be expected to renew your qualifications and training as required including CRB, health and safety, manual handling, etc. Applications are invited from individuals with strong organisational and time management skills; the ability to communicate effectively and coherently, both verbally and in writing; the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and a sound understanding of good care principles. You will be able to remain calm under pressure and manage a busy workload, effectively multi-tasking when required.
It is desirable that applicants have experience of service provision in the care profession and/or experience of care coordinating within the care profession or for a care recruitment agency. Experience of using Sage and/or Tagtronics software is also an advantage.
